Sometimes it flows as tears
Sometimes it sums up fears
Sometimes it's just joy
And sometimes it's a ploy!
It quenches thirst
Refreshes hope
You can drown first
Or flow with the slope
It can wage a storm
Yet Light a life
Can work a charm
Feed the unborn
Wasted it flows
Drains when it rains
Cries the future
Bathes in sorrow...
Save it now
Save us now
If tomorrow dries
We all die...
Save water,save a child,save our future.
So pertinent for the times we live in.

DeleteWater, Water all around but not a drop to drink!...You have very aptly pointed out the importance of water. I hear that if there is a third world war, it will be for water. So, save!
ReplyDeleteThe magic of poetry is bringing out the emotions from even something that is lifeless. Jal, a fight going on in whole world to save it by the aware people and still being drained by those who have not been made aware as of yet. More than the message this metaphorical representation of water took attention.
